Britt Torgerson

Britt joined Darling Eye Center in 2022 as a Vision Therapist, bringing both expertise and a genuine dedication to patient care. With a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina and a Master’s degree in education, Britt has a strong understanding of how vision impacts learning, development, and overall quality of life.

In her role, Britt works closely with patients of all ages, developing and implementing customized vision therapy programs tailored to address a variety of visual challenges, including binocular vision disorders and learning-related vision difficulties. Her patient-focused approach is built on trust, encouragement, and measurable progress, helping individuals improve not just their visual skills but also their confidence and daily functioning. Britt pours her heart into every session, empowering patients of all ages to overcome the visual challenges that can hold them back in school, work, and daily life.

A proud Lowcountry native, Britt’s commitment to helping others extends beyond the clinic. She has traveled to more than 17 countries, often participating in volunteer and outreach work that reflects her passion for service and community engagement. This global experience has strengthened her dedication to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.

Outside of work, Britt enjoys staying active and making the most of the outdoors with her Australian Shepherd mix, Otto.
