With over a decade of experience in medical billing and healthcare administration, Laura has a knack for making the financial side of healthcare less overwhelming and more approachable. Since joining Darling Eye Center in 2021, she’s become a trusted resource for patients and staff alike—overseeing billing, insurance, and payment processes with precision, clarity, and care.
Originally from northern New Jersey, Laura earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Government and Public Service from Winthrop University, with minors in English and History. She moved to the Lowcountry in search of sunshine and new opportunities—and found both.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband of more than 35 years, John. Together, they’ve raised two children, Jessica and Jack, and recently welcomed their son-in-law, George, into the family. A lifelong New York Giants and Mets fan, Laura understands the value of loyalty and perseverance.
When she’s not assisting patients or handling the billing operations, you’ll likely find her baking, gardening, reading, planning her next European adventure, or enjoying a favorite episode of The Great British Bake Off.
For Laura, the most rewarding part of her job is simple: helping make a difference in someone’s day—whether by solving a billing concern or offering a little extra peace of mind.
