Originally from California’s Bay Area, Carleen Rhodes brings a strong background in customer service and office coordination to her role as Front Desk Patient Coordinator at Darling Eye Center. While living in Washington State, she gained valuable experience working at the front desk of an optical office, where she developed a keen understanding of how to help patients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive.
Carleen joined Darling Eye Center in 2024 and quickly became an integral part of the Bluffton team. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of customer-facing roles—from corporate catering and office administration to providing care and companionship to elderly clients as a caregiver. Each experience has strengthened her ability to connect with people, anticipate their needs, and deliver service with empathy and attention to detail.
Now happily settled in the Lowcountry, Carleen continues to make patient service her top priority. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting projects of all kinds, from creating holiday décor to designing detailed miniatures.
